Course Description:

RATIONALE
This module will develop the skills and confidence to tackle relevant, work-based,
problems. It is intended that this module will broaden the critical learning and
developmental experience of students that falls outside their usual employment
sphere.

AIMS
 This module will encourage the application of critical thinking and relevant skills
and knowledge to real-time business problems, or, if suitable live projects are
not available, to case studies
 Students will develop their ability to acquire, analyse and critically evaluate
information, and to propose feasible solutions to organizational problems


LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of this module, the student will be able to:
 Define an organizational problem and to scope associated issues
 Acquire, analyse, critically evaluate and apply information to a range of
organizational contexts
 Develop creative and feasible solutions within context
 Critically evaluate and integrate theory and practice in a wide range of
situations and to appreciate the relationships and interactions across various
organizational areas
